Player Profiles

Dan B:

Probably has the most formal experience of any player in the league, athletic, dealing with nagging injuries, balance of role of a player and commissioner, stronger as a singles player than in doubles, took 15 years off to focus on his studies and establishing himself in a career, looking to make an immediate impact in the grand champions league. Strengths - Experience, return game, strong top spin forehand. Weaknesses - Injury prone, lacks recent game experience.

Andrew F:

He is the wild card in the league, strong powerful first serve, unconventional unorthodox playing style, the human backboard, the human return, he will pepper you with spin, lob, drop shots and miss hits all the day en route to being a multiple grand champion and finalist, never out of a match, deceptive quickness allows him to get to most balls and seems unnerved on the court. Strength: First Serve. Weakness: Second Serve.

Pete G:

Joined the league in the expansion draft, oldest player in the league, passionate about the game, talks a lot of junk, relative newbie to tennis but learning and improving expeditiously, prefers his forehand but has developed a one handed backhand and 2 handed backhand. Strengths: Passion and enjoyment for the game, grinds out wins. Weaknesses: Tends to fall on love with the same serve, not a fan of some of the rules in the league, shorter sets don't allow him to grind out wins.

Greg T:

With nearly 20 years of tennis experience, Greg is the second most seasoned player in the league. His raw athleticism, stamina, game IQ, and sound fundamentals make him a potent foe for anyone. His backhand is his best weapon, but his balanced game plants weapons throughout the point, including in his subtly-spun serve and his deceptively crisp volleys. If Andrew is a backboard, Greg is a mirror; he will play exactly up to the level or down to the level you play. Given the opportunity, he would blast stroke for stroke with ATP#1 Andy Murray, and miss for miss with beginner Randy Murray. Greg also boasts an intimate knowledge of tennis equipment and accessories and has the extensive collection of Nike apparel in the league. Greg currently plays with a Wilson Steam 103S.
